Horizon Europe is the EU's key funding program for research and innovation. It is the boldest civilian R&D and innovation program in the world with a €95.5 billion budget. Spanning between 2021 and 2027, the program aims to increase the EU’s global competitive power through grants to research, development, and technology efforts, namely in innovations with the potential to open new markets. The research and innovation efforts supported by Horizon Europe also help in attaining targets in international agreements such as the UN Development Goals and the Paris Climate Accords.
 
The European Commission launches missions under Horizon Europe. The missions aim to solve the challenges we face in a specific time and with a specific budget. The five missions of Horizon Europe are: 
 
1. Mission on Cancer: Conquering Cancer: Mission Possible
2. Adaptation to Climate Change: Accelerating the Transition to a Climate-Prepared and Resilient Europe
3. Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030: Regenerating our Ocean and Waters
4. Mission on 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030 – By and for the Citizens
5. Mission: A Soil Deal for Europe: Caring for Soil is Caring for Life
 
Any real or legal entity (such as SMEs, industrial institutions, research centers, universities, public institutions, or non-profit organizations) that has the operational and financial capability to conduct the research missions in their project proposal can apply to Horizon Europe. The program usually supports multi-partner projects with at least three participating institutions.
 
The Turkish coordinator of Horizon Europe is the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBÄ°TAK).

Erasmus+ is a support program for education, training, youth and sports and provides grants through projects. Organizations aspiring to participate in the Erasmus+ program can engage in a range of developmental and networking activities. These include establishing transnational partnerships with organizations aimed at strategically enhancing the professional skills of their personnel, fostering institutional capacity development, generating innovative outputs, or exchanging best practices. Some of the benefits provided for the relevant organizations include increasing international operations capacity; improving governance methods; broadening access to financing opportunities and projects; and increasing project preparation, management, and monitoring capabilities. 

The fields included in the fund’s 2021–2027 agenda are: 
1. Social inclusion
2. Promoting young people’s participation in democratic life
3. Green transformation
4. Digital transformation
The calls are made in specific areas under these subjects. The program usually supports multi-partner projects with at least three participating organizations.

KOSGEB – Türkiye Green Industry Project
 
KOSGEB (the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Türkiye) runs Türkiye Green Industry Project which aims to produce high-value-added goods domestically and boost the Türkiye’s competitiveness globally, green industrialization is seen as being crucial. This is because it will increase industry efficiency by enhancing the capacity for renewable energy and the circular economy. Main goal of the project is to support manufacturing firms to use resources more efficiently and innovate in their management, production process, and/or products to meet future market demand.
